During Lent we encourage students to participate in community service projects. On March 21st, the students in grades 5-8 will be going to Aurora to participate in Feed My Starving Children.
Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian non-profit organization committed to feeding God’s children hungry in body and spirit. The approach is simple: volunteers hand-pack meals specially formulated for malnourished children, and send them to partners around the world where they’re used to operate orphanages, schools, clinics and feeding programs to break the cycle of poverty. FMSC food has reached more than 70 countries in its history.
We are going to need adult volunteers to participate with our students. Perhaps you are looking for a service project for yourself this Lenten season, please consider joining us. We would appreciate your help even if your child’s class is not going. You will participate in an inspiring prayerful event.
